Sandpiper sniffed. There was a scent in the air that seemed strangely familiar, and yet she knew she hadn't smelled in many weeks. Then she remembered. Kouprey! With a grin of delight she promptly forgot all about Dove, and began crawling on her belly through the woods toward the scent that grew ever stronger.

*MeerKat left off following Kouprey and stalked a mink*

*Kouprey had been sniffing for prey and scented Sandpiper, at that realization, he started running in the direction the scent was coming from*

Sandpiper, realizing that Kouprey was coming closing, sat up, curled her tail around her in the most glamorous way she could, and licked a white paw daintily.

Squirrel spotted Snake on the hill. Curiously, he left the herb den and made his way toward her. The trip took about twenty minutes trotting time. When he reached her, he lay down near her and said, "Um, hi. I'm Squirrel. You're Snake, right? My mom said something about you - you and a wolf named Mongoose or something - that you were around when I was born." He cocked his head. "What's wrong? Why are you sad?"

"Oh-- hi, little one." she replied rather flatly, managing a smile. "Yes, I'm Snake. I'm just sad because I haven't seen Mongoose at all lately, and I'm worried he... left me Or that he's in trouble, I--" she blurted before pausing. Biting her tongue, she quickly added, "But I shouldn't pour my burdens on you, that's rude. I-I'll be all right, don't worry about me."

Squirrel smiled sadly at her. "It's okay," he comforted Snake. "I know what you mean. I don't know where any of my brothers or sisters are." He sniffed, long and loud. Then a look of surprise crossed his face and his ears perked. "What on earth? I think I smell my brother Meerkat!" Squirrel turned to Snake. "Please excuse me. Gotta run!" He tore off in a westerly direction, his nose leading him through the thick bracken toward the joyful scent of his long-lost brother.

Sandpiper gave him her best smile. "Hello, Kouprey! Where have you been?" She pounced on a passing squirrel deftly and held the warm body toward him.

*Meerkat found the den he was looking for, Caught a mink and killed it, the scent so strong he unfortunatly didn't smell Squirrel.*

"I've been here, although rather busy with raising Meerkat." *He took the offering* "Thanks, it's been a long time since i've had squirrel."

Dove struggled to get her feet underneath her. Lion was asleep and didn't feel her getting up. Dove, still wobbly, limped to the food ditch and took a rabbit for herself. She gulped it quickly down and reached for two mice. Her hunger was ravenous. After eating two rabbits, four mice, a squirrel, and a small quail, she felt satisfied but ill. She raced to the woods and was sick on a pile of leaves. Dove quickly buried it and felt pups move inside her.

"Try drinking lots of water" Falcon suggested

Dove nodded and acknowledged Falcon's advice. She trotted to the stream and gulped down the water, enjoying the way it made her throat feel cold. Again her pups moved in response, and she laughed.
