Here's a tip. When you bring home a chick from the store (or a dozen

) make a list of what you bought and a quick picture of coloring. That way you will know what a young bird might look like if similar color next time. Works good if your aiming for certain colors in breeds.

I made seed blocks!!!! Here's my recipe:

2 cups mixed grain soaked overnight( pour off excess water, after)

1 cup uncooked oatmeal
1 cup cornmeal
4 eggs and eggshells
Bread
1 cup flour

This mixture is cooked at 300 degrees for about one to two hours. This recipe is modified from other recipes. I want to try sprouted grains instead of soaked.
