Kate stared back at him, feeling sorry about all the words she had said. She looked down in shame, a tear dropping to the ground.

Shadow arrived, "Hey what's going on?" He asked Sage, Sage pointed to Kate, "Take her back to camp, I'll take Onyx she fought the bear so bravely."

Kate's heart shattered like glass, the shards scattered on the ground. Her eyes glazed over with tears, but she didn't actually cry. A gloominess washed over her.

Shadow didn't even look at Kate as he picked her up and slung her over his shoulders like a rag doll, the pack didn't need weak wolves.

A sudden rush of energy pulsed through her, the energy created by anger. She jumped from Shadow's neck, and tumbled on the ground. Slowly getting to her paws, Kate felt blood dripping from her mouth. A rumbling growl escaped her throat.

Shadow looked at Kate, "She can walk by herself." He informed Sage, who Was supporting a staggering Onyx.

There were several large holes in Kate's side, all from the bear biting her. Ignoring the pain, she dragged herself towards a lake.
