Onyx growled low in her throat..slamming herself against the wall..it did not nudge at all.."I should have listened to you Sage...outside the pack is too dangerous.." Onyx tried to see something but it was pure darkness...

Kate wanted to break something. She kicked a tree stump, ignoring the pain that shot through her foot. Again and again she hit the stump, until she fell to the ground, rubbing her bruised foot. She didn't cry.

Sage looked after her shocked what was she talking about?! He needed to clear his head... He ran deep into the forest past werewolf territory- he could smell a strong vampire scent... Weird vampires lives in castles not cottages...
