…..Moulting?

Hi, can anyone advise me if my duck is moulting? I just want to be sure she’s definitely moulting and not injured/ill.

can You see lots of feathers everywhere? have you just noticed this? It could be pecking. She’s a very cute duckie.

I don’t think that’s molt. Do you have a drake? Looks like where one would possibly put his feet during breeding.

Yes we have a drake, he’s a bit clumsy when it comes to mating so I guess that makes sense! Thank you! There weren’t any feathers around which made me question whether she was moulting or not. Should I treat the wing at all?

No feathers this is what me me think maybe something was up with her? I’ve watched them all together (I have 5 in total) no one is pecking at her. Just noticed it all of a sudden, very strange? She’s an absolute sweetheart and is so gentle.

You could rinse with saline and try antibiotic ointment but if it's the drake it won't heal very well unless you separate her from him. These things happen during breeding season. These girls seem to heal fine from the wear.
