How fun! Did you handle them a lot when they were little? I've read conflicting advice about that. I've been hand feeding my chicks several times a day and they fall asleep on my hands and wrists. Heaven! They don't seem to want to be picked up though and I don't want to stress them out. I'm hoping that the trust we are hopefully building will help them be comfortable with me when they are grown.Lucky! Both my Wyandottes are the no-touchy type so I wondered if it might be a breed thing - guess not!
My Buff Orpington, Easter Egger, Barred Rocks, and one of my RIRs love attention and pets. My Silver Laced Polish also enjoy lap time and will let me hold them. Sylvia is especially fond of being held and carried around.
