The Lion bowed his head, a greeting far more respectful than what would be expected from a male Lion. "I wish to join your pride," he answered, lifting his head once more into it's proud carriage.

"And if you join, you would promise to respect my commands and not steal the lionesses for yourself?" he thundered, laying on his rock proudly.

A suddent look of sadness settled upon Khairi. He has seen males like this before, they were disgusting creatures and usually abusive. "I'll deal with him. Meanwhile, you stay away from him; if I see him try to get close to you I'll ward him off," he replied.

A glint of disappointment briefly passed over his golden eyes, "Yes, I promise." he replied, his tone steady and without a single tremble of fear.

(I don't blame him.

He can have one mate if he wants, but it's frowned upon by the leader if he takes all of the lionesses.)

"Everyonce in a while, usually only a couple times a year. And not really, the last time I remember them killing a lion was when I was really young...They normally just come in to either hunt the gazelles, wildebeasts, zebras, or elephants, gather greenery or water, or just to simply walk around."
