Well, we will apparently be burning the rest of the pile today.
... And so, another night of staying up until three to make sure that the coals don't go mad....
I don't burn my branches, etc. Since I live on a sand dune, I bury the larger branches and run the smaller ones through the wood chipper. It adds much needed organic material to the sand from both below and above the surface.

If you use enough gasoline, anything is possible. Like Smokey says, all it takes is one spark.
Yep, we spilled some gas on an asphalt street during a transfer. It was really easy to set the street on fire. It took more of an effort to put the fire out. It kept wanting to relight on its own.
