The garden is finally done. I pulled the beets and the carrots today. Not much of a harvest but the carrots are very sweet. The beets are good too. I had several, boiled and bathed in butter with a little salt and pepper.

I knew a fellow that would sprinkle salt on his apple as he was eating it.

the cool bot has been amazing....this is 3rd deer season used since we built it

What isn't right is a recipe in my maternal grandmother's cookbook calling for drizzling onion juice on orange slices.

I do salt on watermelon but not on apples or oranges or cantaloupe.
