Henney Penny my 'guesses' R ..... boy, boy, white boy, other girl???? This is just a guess so don't go by my say.

Henney Penny I THINK the first 2 are boys from the combs...

I have three Silkies that are 17 weeks old.

One is definitely larger than the other two, so I had suspected he was a boy.

Now I'm sure he's a boy since he has "tried" to crow and he has done the "rooster dance."
He also has more comb development.

Here is his pic:

He is also the larger of my silkies:

I seen a silkie crow this morning...I thought it was a boy and makes me feel good that I was right. Sad though cuz I need to find him a new home (I already have my 'boy' picked out) but happy cuz I know of a wonderful home for him (lady who got me into silkie's to begin with). He is about 8 weeks old and attempting to crow already.

The males have a more oblong crest and normally tho not always are more active. Heres a few pics...

The grey is a male and the white is female, surprisingly their the same age though! their about 2 weeks here...

see she has a noticbly ruonder crest... and he puffs his chest out much more...
I find the easiest way to tell is by looking at the crests, a male has long featyher like streamers lol coming from the crest giving it an oblong look to it...
