Rylee watched. He knew how Tawny didn't forgive easily, and was wondering how he would get her back to her old self.

Tawny led her pups into a shallow part of the river. It was still, except for the continuous lapping on the shore, and was separated from the main body by a small trench of soggy dirt. The pups followed their mother as she began to slowly swim around.
Dustin looked at her curiously.
Dawn blushed, realizing what she did.

Dustin briefly pressed his nose to hers before continuing.
