Those black pullets look like a "standard" Black Sex Link which is a Red x Barred Rock.
You will like them. The "mystery" chicks that some TSC is selling as black commercial pullets have a different look and wing.

thanks fred, after what i've studied about sex links, i kinda hope so. they are supposed to be tremendous egg layin machines, LOL

OK, I'll post a photo soon, but two of these "mystery chicks" is now filling out a full, light brass, yellowish breast. Geeeesh!! She(?) looks like a robin!!!

What the heck? The other two still have grey breast and no gold lacing in the wings. Oddest thing ever.

I too bought a couple of the Comm Black Pullets. I also got some of their Australorps and Black Sex Links...all labelled differently and at the same store. My 'common' black is totally different than the OPs. Mine is solid black with white first feathers on their wings and no dot. So I am not sure what breed it actually is. Our TSC told me it stood for Common also, not Commercial. Said he would show me the shipping label if I wanted to see it, but I didn't bother. So I am curious to see how all 3 turn out lol. I did find a brown chick mixed in with the blacks and snagged it up...leaning towards it being a Partridge Rock, but not positive yet lol.

how old are they cause now I have noticed 2 of mine having that brown coloring coming out...

Hi,

Here are some pics of Commercial Black Pullets bought at TSC in Huntsville, Al. They are 4.5 weeks old. After seeing the pics of some Commercail Blacks with Red on their chests, I have come to the conclusion that Commercial Blacks are a three way cross of a Black Australorp Rooster and various Red and Black Sex Links. You can see in my pictures that instead of red the pullets have silver or white on some of their breasts. Also two of them currently have white ears. They will change after they moult but I believe they will be silver laced or pencilled and black. I believe they will be great layers. The red pullet is a Production or Rhode Island Red and not from TSC.

Post some more pics.

☆Photo Update★

She's about 2 1/2 weeks now, and seems to be getting a mixture of bronze and white "barring" (or would it be "lacing"?) all over her body!
She is a sweet bird, steps up on my hand when I reach in the brooder. She's starting to get used to having a camera follow her, I think! haha

....Not really seeing how she is supposed to look a lot like an Australorp (as hatchery said)! lol
But, I think she is turning out pretty. Hopefully they are correct and she is a pullet!
