@KikisGirls, great videos and pics on both threads. So sorry the little guy didn't make it. I just watched a pretty hilarious video about some Filipino guys trying to get an American to eat a Balut egg on Youtube.
I dont think it matters what breed of duck egg is used for this, I may be wrong however, as it is not something that appears on the dinner menu around here!!

so sorry kiki... One of my first hatches, I tossed all the quitters in the compost bin... a few hours later it was chirping... I opened the lid and had a freshly hatch wet little chicken... Now I give the late quitters three extra days, just in case.


We're not nuts, the rest of the world of non-chicken folks are.
