Aw I'm sorry about the baby. :-( It's a good lesson for all of us but I do wish that we didn't have to learn lessons the hard way. Just recently I lost a hen to dehydration and another to a raccoon so I learned to have more waterers and count the chickens ever night but I still wish that my hens didn't have to die for me to learn. :-(

So sorry, that is awful, Thoughts and prayers for your losses. Glad to hear you count now, I always do that, as I have a few bad girls that let themselfes out for some grazing in the front yard during the day. (had to go find one, once who decided to roost in the ally behind the house one night, she would have been eaten if I didn't go find her and bring her home). Good luck in the future. :hugs
