The news of the dead princess spread quickly. Roslyn gasped when she heard the dreadful information. "If only Daffodil's bodyguard had been with her" she murmured sadly. The princess thought back to the pretty Daffodil dancing happily with Jingle. The shock of such a young and innocent chicken's death overwhelmed her. "I must go home" she choked. Roslyn started packing her things completely forgetting that once she returned without a cockerel she would have to marry Sir Keet.

Dove twirled her round and then pulled her into a slow waltz. "I'm glad you did come, m'lady. It's nice to have met you, I'm afraid I have no marriage either. Although, it is nice to meet the maidens who may be queen upon that day of mothers retirement." Dove twirled Roslyn once more and chuckled at the thought of being married already, though he was not.
