Ebony sighed, letting her ears droop. She was still young, so there was a lot of energy in her. She blew on the soft blades of grass below, then dropped to her knees, and rolled on her back.
He spun his ears around, listening to the grass bristle as she rolled.
She got back on her hooves and shook the blades off her coat. "C'mon Vasch.... please? Just run around... a little bit?" she asked, but knew what he was most likely going to say.
Vasch sighed, ears flopping to the side a little. "Fine," he huffed. "Just try not to be too loud; I know there's only two of us out here but you know how bachelors like to pop out of nowhere."
Ebony grinned. "Ok, I'll be quiet." she said, and took off in a circle around him.

The stud reared up, beginning to gallop around with her. He tossed his head in the air playfully, rubbing it against her side as he did so. He had yet to notice Reko.

Ebony swished her tail as they ran, nuzzling her pink-tipped nose against against his chest playfully. Then her velvety black ears caught the sound of a challenge. She skidded to a halt, turning her ears to catch any other sound. Her nostrils flared wide, showing the pink skin inside.
 
Vasch snorted loudly and made a sudden dash at Reko, ears pinned and teeth bared. He squealed, anger pouring from every little fold in his body.
