As the three others entered the cave, Rhia stayed back, in front of Diablo. She choked back her tears. The loss of her friend was just too much to bare. "You monster!" she wailed. "You killed him! You killed him in front of his entire family, including his children!" Diablo shrugged. "I didn't like when he reared up on me. I would of left him alone if he nipped me and that was that, but I didn't like when he reared."
"And you think that's a good enough reason to kill someone? You sicken me," she hissed through her teeth, ears falling back. "If I catch you anywhere near my foal, I will not hesitate to send you to your death, just like you sent Kale to his. I want you to die in the most painful way possible. I truly, truly do."

Diablo watched the process. After a moment, he looked at the family. Nonchalantly, he nodded to the mares and foals and began to snake them to the spot he claimed as his territory.

All four of them were too shocked to say anything, so they just continued to run as fast as they could.

Diablo was right behind them. He steered them where he wanted them to go. When they reached the cave he usually slept in, he said "It's getting dark" he said kindly. "You can sleep in the cave right here."

Caprica walked up to him. "I'm Caprica!" She smiled brightly. He spun around. "I'm Diablo." He said, and turned his attention back to The sobbing, stubborn mare.
Well that was rude. She thought. "I was wondering..... What herd are you in?"

(a stallion in the wild mates with his mares when they go estrus and keeps them safe from other stallions. So, I guess he will mate all his mares at one time or another)
