Me 4: Hey, can I join?
Me 3: Only if you have a cookie.
Me 5: *bounces in* I have something better than a cookie...
Me 3: Ok, you're both in. *whispers plot*
Me 5: *gives ice cream*
Me 2: Can we start now?
Me: Sure.
Me 5: In London...
Me 4: Professor Hershel Layton had just received an odd letter from an old acquaintance. As a gentleman, he was of course going to accept the plea for help.
Me 2: The letter was quite long, but it said that a specter like in the legends told by the townspeople had been attacking the village, and that Misthallery was being destroyed. It concluded with a request for help.
Me: Professor Layton rushed to his car, and started driving right away. As he drove, he was so absorbed in the letter that he didn't notice the young woman on a motorcycle pulling up to his car. In fact, he didn't notice her at all- until she pulled in front of him.
Me 3: "What are you doing?" The Professor yelled to the motorcycle rider. She took off her helmet and looked at him inquisitively. "Didn't Dean Delmona tell you?" Professor Layton shook his head. "I'm Emmy Altava, your new assistant!" Emmy said excitedly.
Me 4: "You can come along, but in order to prove that Dean Delmona really hired you, please tell me what the secret message in this letter is." Professor Layton replied, letting Emmy into the Laytonmobile (his car) after she strapped her motorcycle to the top of it. He gave the letter to Emmy, and she studied it for a while.
Me 4: "Is it… HELPSOS?" Emmy asked. "Indeed it is, but how did you get that answer?" Professor Layton replied. "Well, I took the first letter of each line and they happened to form a message." Emmy replied. "You may come with to Misthallery." Professor Layton said.
