Spice walked over to a nice patch of green grass and ate some. Then she went to get a drink and stood at the edge of the meadow waiting for the herd. She wished that Swift was there to lead the herd out of this but she was proud to do it until they got a new leader.
Shadow smiled but the fears from the past still held her back. "Maybe another time. Anyways, Soldier probably wouldn't like me taking over anyways." she said joking around. "I think he's leading us to rocky mountains."

River smiled. "You know the past doesn't define you." She broke into a canter and went to find Soldier.

They were being very careful but far away the breeze blew through the manes of the horses and led to the hunters camp and the dogs smelled them.

Penny trotted along and felt safe for they were going to be past them soon.
