Shadow and Beauty ran into the cave breathing hard. They looked out of the cave listening to the dogs getting closer and closer. Suddenly the dogs stopped barking and everything was silent.)

River held her breath.

Shadow listened but she heard nothing. She looked over at River wondering if they were gone.

River slowly walked out.

Shadow began to follow when suddenly a dog jumped out of the bushes in front of the entrance of the cave. It started growling at them and slowly started approaching them as it was joined by the other dogs.

River backed up.
Buck got ready to fight. He had an idea.

Shadow and Beauty slowly backed into the cave.

River did the same. "There's more tunnels. we can still escape. "

"But what if it's a dead end?" Beauty said.

River looked at her. "I know these caves."
