Crow could hear the dogs and other horses he and love galloped towards them

As the dogs lunged, Blaze reared, hitting one of them with his flailing hoof. The second one went down the same way as the first. They lay still, unconscious. The third dog lunged at his neck, hitting Blaze in the neck. It clamped it's teeth on him, and he whinnied loudly, rearing up again. The dog flew off of him, and Blaze fell back to the ground, standing on four hooves.

Blood dripped from Blaze's neck, but all three dogs lay unconscious, and Honey was safe. He galloped off quickly to find her.
