Truck day today reminded me of something that happened at my previous job years ago.

I was a janitor at my previous job and one day I walked to the back where our trash compactor is to dump the trash. As usual the stocking team was unloading a truck and also as usual they were listening to music. Rather than the usual rap, rock or whatever they were listening to the theme music from various children's TV shows and singing along. These are mostly 20-30 something year old men and yet here they were singing the wiggles theme song. Naturally I laughed my bum off. When the supervisor walked back there though she made them cut out that nonsense but it was funny while it lasted

Also a few Saturdays ago I was at the grocery store and there was a lady blasting music in the parking lot and twerking. Surprisingly this wasn't Walmart. During the height of covid though I did see a man and his son wear pairs of lacey women's underwear as masks

And one more for now, I walked into dunkin donuts one morning and the whole crew was doing the YMCA dance. It was hilarious but good to see they're having fun

so this saturday i had work with jackson and patrick the team is backtogether for that day anyway i get back from my lunch break and what do you think jackson is doing... he is by the horse like whip things i dont know what there called and acting like hes gonna hit cash with it. cash decided he take the first swing. and he hit jackson with the one he was holding and then cash is like at least it isnt the electric one. jackson is a little silly sometimes so hes like we have electric ones. cash is like yea there in the glass case and then jackson is like sam do you still have those keys i gave you and im NOOOOO i know exactly what you are thinking.


also on sunday i came out to jackson and told im gay im not in the closet i just hadnt told him yet and weve only been friends since i started working at bomgaars and his reply was yea dude im pretty sure everybody knows your gay. ummmm ok so i was panicking over literally nothing.

On freight days, before open, one of my coworkers brings his giant speaker and blades Disney radio through the store.
Better them the same15 songs we hear every day.
Speaking of those song, customers will come up and rave about a song playing and it always catches me off guard because I no longer the radio.
