I didn't know there was black rat snakes we have the yellow ones with a black stripe and black racers which those are not the same thing right?

No those are smaller I think. These are known as the Texas rat snakes and they can be like 6ft long.

Yeah they are usually smaller I think the black racers are I mean one time I found like a literal five foot long rat snake trying to eat some chicks
