Quail meat took me a little bit to get used to. Some of it was finding the right combination of flavours. It's kind of like chicken, but not really, so different flavours. Bacon is overkill on chicken, for example, but really good on quail.

Bacon wrapped quail smothered in home made barbeque sauce. Broiled just long enough to crispy up the bacon, then turned heat down and brushed with sauce every 15 minutes for an hour or so.
