As one has a highly documented history of mixing things up to eat....... Your "sausage gravy strawberry icebox cake"????? How, erm.... What did it taste like?
Would you do it again? I'm sincerely curious. A friend from my college form time asked in FB-land a week or so ago pineapple in anything else & why..... So I have my long answer why, in the solidly affirmative with many a shocked reply.....
It tasted like it was supposed to taste I think...except a lot runnier. I think I will take a break from that recipe for a couple of years...

Darn. I was actually trying to imagine a sausage gravy flavor with a sweet strawberry accent.....

I have had apple & pineapple sausage. I have had raisins with sausage before too.....

Anything like a Schwartzwald Kirsch Kuchen? Shaved dark chocolate and everything. A masterpiece. Not mine, but I am still paying tribute.

I do more banana puddings. Easy peasy and quick. A batch of cookies is sounding good right now too.
 
Ok so it was supposed to be strawberry icebox cake...simple enough right? However I did not have the regular cool whip, so I substituted Oreo cool whip, and I did something else wrong, so the filling looked like sausage gravy except thinner...it didnt taste that bad, but looked HORRIBLE! and nothing like the recipe looked like...I made up for it though with Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Lasagna. :D

I thought that it was a Black Forest dessert of some kind! It looks delicious!
I do a lot of cooking... sweet and savory. I prefer baking, though -- especially cakes, because then I can decorate them to my heart's content. Candy making is something that I want to do more of... mostly I've made toffee, but I've also done chocolate truffles, fudge, and marshmallows.
... Okay, rant done.

Here we go talking about food 😂 Well I might as well join. Dogs are getting scrambled eggs with spinach and nutritional yeast for breakfast. The meat chickens are getting scrambled eggs as their last supper and the quail are getting scrambled eggs too. Layer chickens are getting a bunch of scraps with the eggs shells. They’ve already eaten their breakfast of layer feed.
 
I might make some dessert today....
Oh, yeah -- marzipan is another thing in my repertoire . It's very easy, and I have a recpie from... somewhere, I can't remember where, if anyone wants it. It's vegan, too, so FortCluck can have it if she likes marzipan.
Now, to the recipe books for dessert....
