Here’s some pictures. Now this is before it hardened so you can imagine what a mess it would be totally hardened. And the ice cream basically all melted too

I ended up just drinking the ice cream and eating as much of the rest as I could and then just ditching most of the shell

I probably should have just put a tiny bit of the chocolate on it and then just put the rest in the fridge or trash or something since I ended up throwing it away anyway

It’s a texture thing for me also. I’ve never liked it. However, flan is awesome! It’s like a firm pudding with a light caramel puddle around it. At least the ones I get at one of our favorite Mexican restaurant are. They are so good!

The caramel on top is always bomb. I could drink that stuff. But the custard is just too firm and...jiggly for my taste. *shudders*

But how did you not realize that the chocolate would harden like that??? Like, in what world is straight melted chocolate a reasonable substitution for chocolate sauce?

nah cause I knew it was nasty the second I did it idk why I even tried to eat it... should have just scraped some off right then and there first

Oh... um, this is really random, just a warning:
One of my guinea hens died a couple of months ago. For probably about a year beforehand, she had really swollen toes.
Does anyone know what caused her toes to look like this:

She was behaving and managing perfectly fine... until she got run over, that is, but you get the idea.

well I guess I knew it would but thought it would be easier to eat!! I wasn’t expecting it to be a giant impossible mass

And it’s definitely not at all!! But last time I tried to eat ice cream with just the caramel sauce it was it needs the chocolate to balance it! So I just had to make do and improvise.
