Thank you! I love this. :love I actually was doing similar to that earlier... I turned the volume way down and was singing along but I think that throws me off because I try to match the timing. I think I just need an instrumental version but I couldn’t find one. It’s not really a super popular song either, it’s a relatively new Christian song (though it is gaining more popularity), so there aren’t really many tutorials on it either. :( I did find one just now that was just uploaded last week that was pretty good and will be useful for learning the strumming pattern and everything, that part was good, but it doesn’t sound quite right and I think chords are off so I’ll have to do it differently. I’m gonna keep trying though! Thank you for this. :) I did find a great article on improving rhythm and time too so gonna try some of the exercises in it.
If your chords don't sound right, download a tuning app. There are lots of good, free ones available.

Not entirely true. some good things come easily for some people.
This is true, but even those folks have to practice and push themselves to develop their talents. Only if you're like me, you work really hard and finally manage passable guitar skills--then you maybe don't play for five years and when you try again, you're like, "What? Where did all that work go?" Nowhere--it went nowhere. Wherever THAT is... :lau At any rate, it's for sure gone .
