My husband has one from a chainsaw that kicked back into the top of his knee. There’s about an inch gash above his knee an a nasty scar. He says it’s still super sensitive.

He was 8 helping his aunt.

I have one of those on my left knee...he and I are lucky we have a leg still...it was going 'full bore' when it kicked back on me!
