You must be making him feel better! A lot of dogs hate having their nails done, might have better luck with a Dremel/grinder. It can take them a few tries to get used to them but once they do they are usually better.
Dremels are great!! Although some can be quite loud. But the quieter ones are very useful. I also like to trim with regular nail trimmers for the bigger clips/trims and then use the dremel to maintain them in between so I don’t have to actually clip as often if at all hahaYou must be making him feel better! Maybe there’s a quieter one or something? Those things can be very loud!! Fur clippers too. Idk why they make them so dang loud hahaThe Dremel turned out to be a non-starter. DH has hold-the-dog-still duty and he freaks out worse than the dogs. I tried it on myself first, so I do know what to do, but he just "knows" I'm hurting them. It's really just the noise (for him, too, I think!
) but nah... can't do that.
I thought it a quite good idea, too---sigh- not for me, apparently.
That they are. We adopted the labradoodle thanksgiving weekend that was an at large dog they just got, my friend volunteers so we got him right away, and the poor thing was starved. I think he weighed 42lbs when they got him. He ate everything. I’m glad to say he does not eat cat poop anymore, unless he is sneaking it outside. Gross. They sound adorable!! But lots of maintenance! Luna is mostly pretty maintenance free unless she goes outside and gets burrs or whatever. I need to try to get her to like brushing somehow. And yeah dogs are pretty nasty critters![]()
Aww that is so sad. That they are. Because homemade bread fresh and hot from the oven embraces the peanut butter in an obscene way? Then drizzle a bit of honey on top.I do, too. But in my defense, I savor it, slowly. I mean, I'm already eating a lot of carbs with the peanuts and whatever else sugarthey put in there. Why would I spread it on a warm, crispy, savory, fragrant piece of freshly toasted bread???
I keep those Miller clippers in my rooster booster box. They work great on sharp nails and spurs. I never cut too deep, just "a little off the top"Dremels are great!! Although some can be quite loud. I find it also helps to have good clippers. I’ve used junk ones before and it makes it much harder and way more stressful. Takes way longer too haha I really like the Millers Forge ones. They cut like butter.and oddly they’re still really cheap even though they work so well which is great haha
I’m not sure if the ones with the stop work as well but I really like the orange ones. I have both sizes of them.
