I got up early because I had an appointment with the diabetes doctor over the phone... I then spent an hour watching the chickens.
No exercise yet, unless one counts about twenty minutes on the swing-set....
Who sent this hot, sunny weather this way? Take it back, I'm not ready for it yet! I'm still shedding the layer of insulating winter fat!

Picking up duck eggs. I thought we were going to be done incubating/brooding after these last geese, but we have waay to many drakes not so many hens. 6:4 ratio. 24 white layer eggs is what we just got. Looks like we will be having duck for dinner. I like duck as long as it’s cooked properly.

Duck: You need to remove feathers, clean, then hang upside down in your window facing the street. That's how I have seen duck prepared.
