Way back when I was learning to play the guitar, the music teacher had to retune the guitar at every lesson. I was starting to pick it pretty good, but it was pointless because I am tone deaf. I could only play the notes on the sheet music. I could not play anything by ear. My singing is even worse.
I say go for it!!! Worst case scenario is that you have to “help” it and maybe you could video it as properly assisting for others to learn from even if too late for this chick
I grew up in SW PA. We never had air conditioning. Trying to sleep in 80°F weather with 80% humidity sucked big time.
It’s never to late for him to learn!!! DS is self-taught and DH never really started trying until recently.....lots of good stuff on the internet that wasn’t available when we were younger

I don’t understand it now but as a kid there were very few places I went that even had a window unit!! We had a couple but parents would rarely turn them on because of the amount of electricity it used.....they installed an attic fan first before finally getting a/c .....my grandparents house was a big farmhouse and they closed off any areas they didn’t want to heat or cool
