This is so strange to me...I do NOT understand how people don't have air conditioners.

It's kind of humid here--not like last night after that honkin' big hailstorm took out my greenhouse cover and did a heluva lot of other damage --but kind of humid.

All the same I just open the upstairs & downstairs windows. It creates a vortex. cool air is drawn in below by hot air exiting through the windows above. Next thing you know, I'm getting chilly. But that presupposes there's cool air to be had.

Usually there is here, but in FL, I have given up, gotten up, and wheeled a stroller to the park at 1:00 a.m. many, many nights, to swim in the lake with my little boy--and we were never close to being the first ones there.

There's a reason FL only started to populate AFTER air conditioning became commonplace.
