Speaking of cooking with beer, have you had potatoes fried in beer?I don't pick mushrooms. I don't trust myself to not accidentally pick one of the nasty ones. I have heard stories... and I'll stick to the store-bought ones, thank you.

You have to use some oil for frying or you would just be boiling them. Thin sliced potatoes like you would use for scalloped potatoes with sliced carrots, diced onion, salt and pepper. Fry like normal, when nearly done, pour beer into skillet and continue cooking until all the beer is evaporated.Ooh, those sound -- wait, fried in beer? As in, beer replaces the oil?
Uh... no... they sound like they would taste extremely strongly of beer, which I don't like the flavor of when it's very strong.
