I got a big massive french fry cutter back before potatoes became a no, no. Its suction cup works fine.

The ones that I grew up with didn't have suction cups. They had clamps just like the hand grinders.

I did buy an antique cherry pitter since the new fangled stuff they sell doesn't work as well or as conveniently as the antiques did.
