I never had an issue at the other farm, besides black snakes stealing eggs, and initially none here at the new place. But I guess 12 plus years was a long time to go without predator issues and they all hit at once last year.

We have similar here. Basically no losses for like 5 years (only 2 and only one of which was a predator) and then all of a sudden tons of losses this year.

I have lost 11 birds this year. 6 to predators, the rest put down. It’s awful. In one of the predator attacks I lost 3 hens in one day.

That's her default expression. She is constantly skulking around giving me these huge watery eyes like she thinks she's going to get in trouble for something (or everything).
Honestly it's very annoying.

Older dog. She's very unconfident. I try to be understanding but it's exhausting putting up with the "beaten stepchild" act.

He joined mama coon, younger brother and baby coon that are already permanent residents here this year.

I can imagine! Especially since you guys have been nothing but good to her!!! This dog was also an older rescue, a year or two I think, and pretty nervous but LOVED me right from the start and all over me, etc. but sometimes I’ll accidentally trigger something and she will refuse to come near me.
