Street is a bit upset with us for taking out the turkeys.....she was still throwing a fit this morning before the sun came up!!

of course i didn’t mention in the party thread what closed the deal on turkeys being done this weekend.....while we were working in the aviary on Friday, weeble snapped the head clean off one of my female buttons right in front of me!!! it was extremely traumatic!! i never really thought they could catch one in broad daylight!!

I'm building the quail numbers up a bit to get eggs under lights for the winter. I'll have to find a solar powered something to keep them in the yard and away from the house.

Oh, and I've decided to redo the 8' palace into breeding cages. Or I could just build number three and be done with it.

Me thinks moderation is "KEY" may have been mis-interpreted a weeeee bit eh?

I'm gonna hazard a guess that this is the volume is batter mix equal to a typical cake 12" square?

If that is correct then I'd recommend a scaled back approach. Say, ~1/8cup of each "at most" for your 2nd round of testing....

Anyone else care to chime in?
