so glad we moved to the rent house.
It just took 7 months before we could get contractors to make bids...Covid impact.
Now we are steam rolling thru the stages. The subfloor issue and the electrical were a “shock” but are necessary fixes. We want it done right.

Nan are the workers mans building cabinets in the kitchen or have your purchased some pre-made ones that the dude are going to install?

I’m having the carpenter “workers mans” build them after seeing some of his work. He is doing the two bathrooms too. I’m having them painted instead of stain. After living with the 1960-70s paneling and stain and the dark everywhere the light color choices will be a huge contrast. Let hubby keep the paneling in the den/man cave for his tv viewing pleasure.
Same with the flooring...red oak floors will be professionally refinished and going ceramic tile thru out the den, baths, laundry and kitchen. The shower will be tiled by the same workers mans.

Actually, the sweet potato pies that I've seen have been a different hue than the pumpkin pies. A bit duller -- more brown.

Pumpkin, squash and sweet potato all taste the same to me, just variation in sweetness.

My sweet potato pies have a brown sugar/toasted pecan layer. The spices are milder and I add a little ground ginger and nutmeg....a naturally sweeter taste.

Pumpkin pie has a totally different flavor with cinnamon, allspice, and clove. I use molasses too.

Nutmeg is needed in pumpkin pie. I never heard of pecans in it, but I bet it would be good.

I said "hue," not "taste."
And I am not high. I only take drugs to help with sicknesses, and then they're only fever reducers, pain relievers, and mucous relievers -- never anything illegal or requiring a prescription. I do not intend to take any opioids or any crap like that unless my doctor tells me to. I hate the thought of having my personality changed beyond my control, and hate the thought of depending on something like that.
The only drug that I depend on is insulin.
