in my defense, I have only gotten dux with the intention of them being meatbirds!! my original 2 went into the freezer already and flip-a-dux was simply culled. Quackers is only being considered for pardon temporarily because she’s not absolutely sure she’s a dux and I got 1 egg. (she’s also one of the few birds that mr muddy hand-feeds treats ) but i have since found more soft-shells in the aviary sooooooo if i can’t get her calcium she may very well be back on the Christmas menu
