Not to me. Chili powder, maters, and cocoa are the flavors I think of. I am also not much of a chili fan. I'm really not a picky eater, I swear. I will eat what's in front of me. Except for freaking slimy bell peppers, and mushrooms!!

Chili powder has cumin in it
I make chili using my own chilli peppers and have never added cumin, tastes fine to me...
have you tried wild mushrooms? They all have slightly different tastes.
