I'm beginning to realize the big hole was NOT a good idea.

The big hole will make a great window when you make it into an incubator for real!! You gotta watch the eggs sit there doing nothing...it's half the fun!!

I am eye balling a real ice chest in the garage.
I am almost positive I will break this styrofoam thing soon enough.

@KikisGirls The internet says that Petco carries it.
Both the 1000 watt and 500 watt.
There are 3 PetCo shops in Houston, TX.

Despite intensive searching, I can't find find anything that solidly states that any of those 3 stores has it.
They should though, being part of the chain.
I can't call because I'm in school.

You can drive to one and look, or call and ask.

These stupid duck eggs cost me a days pay.I was up all night reading thread.When I finally fell asleep 5am I slept right they alarm clock buzzing.Woke up at 1pm. Your eggs might be cursed and it spreads to anyone who post in this thread

I made this incubator for my daughter.Cost total $6 dollars $3 ice chest,$2 light socket with dimmer control and $1 light bulb.
She used it at school and successfully hatched 9 of 12 eggs.

So far I have spent:

1. 10 bucks on the two thermometers
2. 2 for the lightbulb
3. 30 for the fake thermostat

I think I have failed in the "not spending anything" department.
