➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Well... I'm going to bed now. Must sleep while the Milk Drinker does.

Try to keep it under 100 posts, or I'll start skipping again.
I will be forced to call you that long name that SHE calls @rjohns39 if you pull this skipping nonsense.

So Kiki can get some sleep. You late nighters are going to convince me to stay.

OK, we'll talk to each other, you all need your rest :thumbsup Nite....again :)

I totally understand your hesitation! I will not force you to eat a duck egg. I am satisfied with your incubation experiment! My husband is convinced we will crack open an egg and have a baby duck embryo inside because the drake is a busy boy.
We have ten duck hen's and three drakes. Eggs are collected daily. The shells are much harder than chicken eggs. And the eggs are delicious. I currently have 29 eggs in the incubator. No Baluts here!!

There is no way you regular hatch nuts don't candle this much.
Fakers!
I can honestly say that I no longer candle eggs as often as I did when I first started incubating 15 years ago. The constant opening and closing the incubator creates temperature and humidity fluctuations. Now I candle as the eggs go in the incubator, on day 10 and then again when going into lockdown.
Your experiment and rigged incubator is an "experiment" and this is your first time incubating. I'm re-living that 1st time thrill right along with you! Fingers are crossed these gems make it thru hatch.
Here is one of my duckling hatches....to tease you!
