➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I had lamb for the first time two years ago, it was nasty. To this day it’s the only meat I don’t like.
My mom's cousin has a lamb ranch in Montana. They are incredibly responsible raising them right. Daily field rotation and the like. Even then, I can still only eat the best parts. The fat just retains that "off" gamey flavor to me.
@jwyles - my mom makes delicious lamb and fig stew to put over rice. It's incredible and a great way to use figs!

Or grouse?

I'm not sure if I shared this story when it happened... recently when I was climbing a mountain I came upon a grouse dust bathing with about 8 little chicks running around it. Absolutely adorable.

Need or want? What's the difference between Swedish and anything else? Do you cook it different? I LOVED the Swedish Chef! Big fan of his work. Um-Bork-bork-bork~ :gig

Nut job, maybe. Hoarder, I still have freezer space...

My only concern is noise and space.
My 2 concerns are noise, space and fencing.
My 3 concerns are noise, space, fencing and time to grow out.
My concerns include noise, space, fencing and time to grow out.

(I bet Kiki won't get THAT reference!)

Swedish are a fairly large dual purpose breed. Mine are for pets and eggs, but they would make a good meal if you were inclined, especially a drake. They are larger than all my chickens and Ducks grow really fast. Maybe @KikisGirls should hatch you some.

Wood Ducks. You put houses up for wood ducks. Beautiful.

Yes, babies are great and pregnant women are the most beautiful women in the world. Except the ones that are a terror to be around.

Looks wonderful. Except for your lack of cast iron, I approve. Stainless??? Really?

I use enameled cast iron but your not supposed to cook tomatoes in regular cast iron bc it caused excess iron to leach into your food. I'm currently really wanting to invest in a nice stainless set.

I wish I had my grandmas old mangalite. No idea what happened to it but I did see some for sale in br the other day but it was very pricey. I guess all GOOD cookware is really.
I got lucky.
My mom already had a full set so I got the better ones...Granny's.
:woot

I CANNOT eat lamb! It looks delicious and I have no doubt it is but that's where I draw the line :barnie. No offense and certainly not mad at anyone who does but I just can't do it. They're just too cute for that.:hit
