➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

@KikisGirls I took some pics of my little flock while I was working in my yard today just to share. Is that allowed on this thread?

:lau I don't know mpc charges extra for the pure white ones. They've fancied them up and call them "snowy Easter eggers" or something like that. :gig
:smack

I’m not Kiki but of course it’s allowed, ya goofball.
I’d love to see your flock (no guarantees how much longer I can keep my eyes open tho)

Found some EE baby to adult threads. The conclusion is... you can’t predict color at all lol. Some white chicks stayed all white. Some turned a little apricot/white.
Unfortunately I didn’t really find any black and whites that started out all white.. but I did find some lighter chipmunks that did, so there’s still hope!
:bow

It gives me a warm feeling that you like Herriot. I guess I'm going to have to reread it.
If you are into history, give the Hardcore History guy a try. Different spin on history. His take is Caesar was a genocide also. The fact the Celts didn't have writing means their side of the story is lost to the ages. War is brutal. War of conquest exceedingly so. I should find another to listen to.
If you are interested in military history at all and love an excellent and empathetic orator, this is the podcast for you. They are usually fairly long, and creating them exhausts him, but it really shows how much he loves history.
That sounds quite interesting. I enjoy history books, if they're well written, so maybe I'd like it.
Anything can taste great. It is up to the chef. Except squirrel head gumbo...
:gig

I'm going to have to check out Freakonomics... you've all got me very curious. Never heard of it before now.
Please do. They are absolutely fascinating.

I started with Death throes of the Rebublic, which is amazing and have listened to almost all of his other series as well.
Ghosts of the Ostfront is an incredible series and might be my favorite thus far.
He just came out with a new one too! Part one of the Asia Pacific War!

Good morning all.
I’ve gotta run to my two favorite places today, the doctor AND the dmv. And then I get to come home late to more construction in my house.
Pray for my soul.
Lol. You my friend are about to have a great day. Enjoy!

Blech - replied in quote. Oops.

I might check this out. War history fascinates me. It's amazing how the stories change from one country or one historian to the next...as they say, history is written by the victor.

Be prepared to be enthralled. I found myself stopping what I was working on to rewind (is that a thing anymore? Should this be replay? Or relistened?) what I thought I heard and paying more attention. I feel like I should take notes.

Dan Carlin is a great story teller and has found his media. (Media or medium?)

Chicken question. I disrupted the flock. Should they settle before integration or keep the disruption going?
