Ours are the smallest now, they were the biggest. We are still holding onto the ridiculous hope that our roo magically turns into a pullet

They’re not even two weeks old so there is a great amount of hope still. I’m just bracing for half of them to be cocks so I’m not horribly disappointed later..

Well, apparently I cuddled my roo too much as a chick (according to @BantyChooks ) and turned him into the evil spawn of satan . No cuddles for baby roosters!

As soon as I know who is a roo they will be getting no cuddles from me. I just explained to Hubby how we need to treat them in the future and why haha.

I know, right? I miss them as tiny cotton balls already!

We are 99% sure the chipmunk EE is a lil roo. Even the Ginger said “there’s no way that’s a girl” after watching it square up to the other EE and strut around afterwards.
Both of them are still very unfriendly and hang at the back together while the other 6 are happy to mob me up front. I hope they grow out of it.. they’re also both HUGE and I’m seriously bracing for both to be male.

I think they are too young to judge by their attitudes right now.

If it came back on on it's own more likely than not the capacitor. Hope so it's a pretty simple fix

The capacitor stores electricity to jump start so to speak the compressor. It takes alot of energy to get the compressor running once it's running it's like cruise control

What ever it is I just want it to stay on for now.
He has a buddy that is a real life ac man so he is running over there to borrow something for now, just in case.
I have no clue what.

Staggered hatches are easy. I had eggs hatching every week for a month, and it went fine.

Yes but store bought unsure balutties are way different then special real quail eggs.
I can't take a chance on screwing up my first ever real quailies.
