I hear ya. I rarely finish anything. I start, do the best part, then lose interest and finish maybe never. If I remember correctly, you're allergic to oil pastels, right?
Such a bummer. I feel like you could rock that $hit.
Yes, and theoretically oil paints too (haven’t tested this yet). I did like oil pastels for the one hour I used them in a highschool art class before I started wheezing and was sent home. :idunno

When I was a teenager I rocked watercolors and loved them, but now.. I’m having trouble figuring it out again.
So dang frustrating. I just need to give up on trying to use them with ink.

How frustrating. I really enjoyed oil paints as a child (weirdly had an amazing oil painting teacher as a wee one) and I do like them, but found acrylic to be more my thing. Then, the oil pastels hit and man, do I love those. I have a problem with size. I need to get some boeing paper or something to do the big stuff that's in my brain.

I went to close up my coop and be sure everyone was back in and I saw mom up in the roost with the baby. I know this chick didn't get up there on its own. Can they normally get up on a roost that's 18 or so inches off the ground? I was shocked. Do y'all think the mom helped the chick up somehow?
How old is the chick? They can jump up pretty high in my opinion.

I used to have a problem with size (TWSS) until my last teacher forced me to work on 24x36 paper exclusively. Hah!
I’m not a huge fan of acrylic. I’m too slow and deliberate for it, by the time I mix the right color it’s already dry. :he That’s why I loved watercolor, so fun for tiny realistic pieces.
Prairieheart’s roo is gonna be in pen though.. I just want something fun and easy.

Got any photos of your art? :pop

Soooooo, @BantyChooks the poll appears to magically have changed... pray tell, do you know anything of this?
The sweet smell of the cool ocean breeze, as I sit in the warm sun outside my hut on the beach. The waves crash gently on the shore as fisherman seine for bait fish. I relax in my beach chair in the sand, the sun on my face and a lovely glass of rum in my hand.

I'm pretty slow. I have nothing finished. Plus, I have this weird thing where I like to put a monster in at the last minute so I end up with some strange things.
I did design a really cool wall art hanging and had a local chainsaw artist make it come to life. I just love how it turned out - he followed my drawing to a T with a freaking chainsaw!!! The dude is incredible.

That is ridiculously cool looking. Where do I get one? :drool

I feel you. I really struggle with finishing stuff too, I’m trying hard to kick that habit.
I’ve got some pretty neat concept sketches that sadly will probably never see the light of day.
