I got 12 “pullets” in February, 4 were cockerels. Gave 2 to a friend looking to expand her flocks genetics and 2 were a nice batch of chicken tacos. Although they were delicious I would have rather had pullets...Well that’s a pain in the ass. The older they get the more I feel like they’re all little boys.
I don’t really know. There are three buff orps and they all have the same feather growth coming in and relatively big baby combs. The only difference is the one above is slightly larger than the other two, and has that funky pink kink in its comb.
The white EE is the second pic and has a pink comb, while the chipmunk EE’s is totally yellow. They’re both equally big with thick legs but the white has a very full tail. In past experience, my baby cockerels were noticeably scraggly and had almost no tail for a long time.
I can’t tell anything anymore. What if I only have 2 or 3 pullets?
