➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Better watch all that rooster talk here. Poor fellas all the male posts have usually involved euthanasia or sending to someone somewhere apparently they are just an unwanted byproduct soo sad they really are nice to have. Truth be told I know a couple people with layers and the males I've seen of the layer breeds are just kinda there no real personanality I believe being bred for production no emphasis was put on the males so they are like that. The gamefowl being selectively bred are nothing like them. They have personalities, are docile and protect the hens and chicks. They are easily trained and very smart I guess they are like chickens originally were years ago before the factory egg production started and it turned into pumping out as many eggs as possible

GORGEOUS!!

I'm not sure if I want to choke the kids or punch the parents.
I vote both. But with more to the parents who didn't take the time to raise their children and let them grow up like wild animals. I know some kids are born with issues, but a good parent does their homework and raises their children in a manner that helps the child to be the best kid they can be. IMHO

I have seriously bad hay fever right now from forking that hay out today.. and for some reason my legs hurt like they do after a long trail ride.
Hurricane Harvey coop rebuild (Picture heavy)
Anyone wanna come help me finish this run? Kiki? Pug? No..?
Wish I could come help, I think it would be fun. Coop raising project, people camped in your yard, with fried chicken and potato salad, like an old fashioned barn raising.:wee

I can't master cooking fried chicken to save my life.

Hah! I’m basically the exact opposite. I can plan and alter things to finesse but I have trouble with the muscle work. I get very (very) frustrated when my body doesn’t cooperate, and even more so when someone says I can’t do something (or tries to take over when it isn’t wanted :rant).

I wish I had a mute hired laborer on standby. Emphasis on the MUTE.
Be careful, over working your body does catch up to you. You are young, I thought I could do anything anybody else could do until I got into my 50's. After all the work I did on my house, with the men. I found I could do less and less with out paying in pain in spades for days. Still drives me nuts, I think I should still be able to do whatever needs to be done. Sadly at 61 that is no longer the case. I am 4' 11 & 1/2" tall and 110 lbs and have worked like a grown man my whole life. Don't be too hard on your body, even though you can right now. :hugs
