Can't be true, otherwise how would I have all my teeth now? Mom would have slapped them out of my face. I didn't cuss until I was well into adulthood, I still flinch if I let one loose in her hearing.:oops:

Can anyone here cook real fried chicken?

Yes it's possible, but everything has to be perfect for it to work. The key is oil temperature. It's really hard to maintain the right temp in a home fry pot. That's why you'll get the first one cooked through but really greasy, one or two good pieces and the rest cooked or even burnt on the outside but raw on the inside. It also takes so much oil that it's easier to oven fry.

I've only tried it a few times.

Do you have your firebtoo high where the outside is browning before it cooks through? I've only made homemade fried chicken around 6-7 times (not counting chicken strips which I've made 3 or 4) but it always takes longer than I think to cook them through.
