The sexing forum isn’t my favorite. I’ve been lurking it nonstop lately and, to be totally blunt, there’s some frequent posters who I often feel are totally wrong but are never corrected and they never explain themselves.

I really wish more people would update what sex their chicks ultimately turned out to be. It seems like gospel on that thread that if it has any noticeable comb or wattles before 12 week so age, it is boy for 100% certain. Full stop. I think a lot of people have returned chicks to the feed store on that basis.

However, on rare occasion, I've stumbled across pictures of chicks with pretty good sized wattles and combs that eventually turned out to be pullets. It's probably the exception, rather then the rule, but unless there is a clear sex-linked feather pattern, I'm not going be 100% sure based on wattles, until I hear a crow or see saddle feathers coming in.

FWIW, your chicks are not screaming cockerel to me, and I wouldn't panic about it right now.

Making a thread now.

If I get told they’re all boys I will cry.

You’re sick!
The biggest problem with that forum is that hardly anyone gives a confirmation of whether people were right it not. Without an update, no one really knows if they are getting it correctly.
