➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I'm sorry guys, I can start a thread if it'd be better, but I did want your opinions if you've had experience with this. Should I just separate her each time she goes broody and try to break her or should I get rid of her somehow. I lose at least an egg a day to her so I'm really getting frustrated and know I've got to do something about her.
Have you tried ceramic eggs and a pinless peeper? If that doesn’t work then a rollaway is your best bet.. but if she’s that much of a pain in the neck then why keep her around? Animals have to be useful OR friendly to last around here.

Where did you and @littleprairieheartsfarm get your demon Marans from?
I’m with kiki, my one little welsummer from Ideal is an absolute doll. I can’t speak for egg quality yet but she is intelligent, friendly, and very level headed.

We got ours from TSC. I don’t know what hatchery they came from before there. I think it was Welp but I’m not 100% certain.

:frow Good morning all!! TGIF this week at work has been a bear, will be glad to be home for a couple of days. Although I will be busy with DD. LOL :th
Have a great fast fun Friday!

I'm heading back to the school for the final day if the book fair.

I have ceramic (well stone eggs). Haven't tried pinless peepers. She came from a breeder whose wife shows them. She had the wrong eye color so I'm assuming that's why he got rid of her as opposed to keeping her.

What a turd! I've got five bantam cochins and they laid like crazy. Then, they all went broody at the same time! I had them all in the rabbit hutch to break them. It took two weeks. TWO WEEKS. Two more before they start laying again then another month or so before going broody again. At least only three of them went broody a second time. I do love them though. Little bun butts.

OMG...tell me about broody at the same time!!! For the past week I think all I do is go home and toss Silkies out of the nesting boxes. There aren't even any eggs to sit on! My Porcelain D'Uccle is newly broody this year and she's PSYCHO....P-S-Y-C-H-O! I've been growled at before by the Silkies but the noise this one makes is demonic screaming.:oops:

But I totally agree....:love their fluffy butts!
